Certified Shiatsu Practitioner - Laura Barkman

I started my training as a Shiatsu Therapist at the Academy of Tokyo in Toronto Ontario Canada in 2002 with a 2200 hour diploma program.  I graduated from the Academy as an Honor Student, in the class of 2002 - 2004.  I continued my education at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in 2004, a four year diploma program.

From a young age I developed a strong passion about the human body and its functions. Being raised under the care of my dad, as an opened minded chiropractor, my mom as an herbalist, and grandpa as a massage therapist, instilled in me a true belief that when given the proper care the body will heal itself. 

God has truly made the human body wondrously with the innate ability to keep itself healthy.  Due to the stressful polluted life style we live in we need to lend it a hand when it has difficulties in healing itself.  

My professional training and therapy experience will work with you to bring your body to a balanced state where it will be able to function normally on a day to day basis in our society. 

I have been working as an independent therapist for six years in Canada, USA, and Mexico. Currently I am working out of All About Faces Spalon in a professional relaxing office. It's located in Oklahoma City at 1408 SW 89th . 

Along with having a passion about my work, I am a wife and mother of a beautiful daughter.  I love to read and continue studying.  Most of all I love to relax with my family traveling through country side.
